What Happened

State Police have confirmed the name of the person killed in a crash at Ryan Rd in Allen County, IN on September 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10 a.m. Investigators believe a van headed eastbound was struck by a southbound semi-truck. Officials allege the semi-truck failed to yield at a posted stop sign before the collision. Two of the van occupants, including 86-year-old Donna Danahey, were hospitalized with serious injuries. Danahey later passed away from the injuries. Both drivers were stated to have been in "fair condition". Additional information was not available.
