What Happened

Tippecanoe County officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-65 in Tippecanoe County, IN on November 30th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by Walter Sutton headed southbound reportedly veered from the road for unknown reasons and through concrete barriers into northbound traffic. It then collided head-on with a tractor-trailer operated by 50-year-old Jerry Burdette. Burdette suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Sutton was not injured.
