What Happened

Steuben County Sheriff's Department officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at I-69 in Steuben County, IN on July 16th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by 29-year-old Nai Ye Koko reportedly collided with the rear of a Ford Econoline van operated by 46-year-old Nathan Hadfield in slowing traffic. The van caught fire before being forced ahead into a Ford Expedition operated by John Neal. All three drivers were hospitalized with various injuries.
