What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver and injured another at I-70 in Plainfield, IN on October 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10 a.m. and began with a semi-truck losing control in heavy rain conditions. It jack-knifed before crashing through a concrete barrier wall and hitting another truck head-on. The driver of one of the trucks was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was hospitalized with serious injuries. Two other vehicles, including a passenger car and third semi-truck truck, were also involved. One of those drivers had minor injuries.
