What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-69 in Madison County, IN on July 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a semi-truck operated by 42-year-old Riyadh B. Al-Obaidi reportedly pulled over into a shoulder for unknown reasons. He then exited the vehicle and was standing near it when he was struck by another semi-truck. He was taken to an area hospital with injuries that he later died from. Police say that alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
