What Happened

Terre Haute Police have details on a three vehicle collision that led to injuries at State Route 46 and Wabash Ave in Terre Haute, IN on April 27th, 2022. They believe it happened around 4:35 p.m. Initial investigation revealed a dump truck headed eastbound Wabash Ave was approaching the intersection with State Route 46 when it collided with a Jeep Commander making a turn in the intersection. The impact caused the dump truck to overturn and pushed the Jeep into a nearby Nissan Altima. The dump truck driver, who required emergency extrication from the vehicle and Jeep driver were both hospitalized with minor injuries. The Altima driver was taken in for treatment of chest and neck pain. Failure to Yield is suspected of being a factor in the crash. Additional information was not available.
