Indiana State Police are investigating a collision that injured at least two people at SR44 in Shelby County, IN on September 3rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:15 a.m. According to investigators, a dump truck headed eastbound is alleged to have veered from the road for unclear reasons before attempting to return to the roadway. In the process, reports say the vehicle collided head-on with a passenger vehicle headed westbound. Reports indicate the driver of the passenger vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries while the dump truck operator was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
