What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at State Road 2 in St Joseph, IN on July 17th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Police are saying an Amazon semi-truck was in the process of making a u-turn when it was struck by an approaching motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as 29-year-old Tyler Lee Smith, was taken to an area hospital with injuries that later turned fatal. The semi-truck operator was allegedly uninjured.
