What Happened

State Police are investigating a collision that led to a fatality at I-80 in Johnson County, IA on March 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:59 a.m. According to investigators, the crash involved a Toyota Prius being struck from the rear by an eastbound semi-truck under unclear circumstances. A passenger in the Prius, identified as 60-year-old Annie Zleh, died in the crash. The driver of the Prius, identified as 23-year-old Emmanuel B. Tennie, suffered serious injuries while the truck driver, Bryan L. Roth II was hospitalized with minor injuries.  Additional information was not immediately available.
