What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at County Home Rd and 10th St in Marion, IA on June 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:23 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck traveling westbound on County Home Road collided with a Nissan Rogue. They allege the Nissan was attempting to cross the intersection with 10th Street before it was struck by the truck. The driver of the Nissan was hospitalized with serious injuries. A passenger in the same vehicle, 50-year-old David Dickson, was killed. Authorities have not released additional information.
