What Happened

Iowa State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Hwy 38 and County Rd F44 in Cedar County, IA on June 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:39 a.m. According to investigators, a box truck operated by 23-year-old Melissa Mandujano was reportedly attempting to pass a Chevrolet Trailblazer before both vehicles collided. The driver of the Trailblazer, 76-year-old Joyce Hennings, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Police say no other injuries were reported.
