What Happened

Iowa State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 63 in Amboy, IN on July 16th, 2021. Police say the incident involved a garbage truck headed eastbound reportedly failed to yield to a vehicle operated by 58-year-old Randolph Beaty. The vehicles collided and the car was wedged under the truck. Beaty suffered fatal injuries. A 56-year-old passenger in the car was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The garbage truck driver was not injured.
