What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at Hwy 151 and Wendling Ln in Linn County, IA on September 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. A semi-truck pulling an oversized load stopped and pulled into a shoulder before reversing. A semi truck operated by 60-year-old Gary Schulte then collided with the rear of the truck before pushing the truck into the semi-truck in front, operated by 64-year-old Wayne Myhre. Myhre was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Schulte was cited for Failure to Stop at a Safe and Assured Distance.
