What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at County Rd 10 in Gray County, KS on May 9th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:35 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-550 is alleged to have failed to yield right of way to a tractor-trailer headed northbound on County Rd 10. Reports indicate the vehicles collided at the intersection with GG Road, the collision leaving the driver of the pickup truck, 52-year-old Bruce Sonday, seriously injured. Reports say Sonday was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as 69-year-old Everett E. Koehn, was hospitalized with serious injuries, reports say.
