What Happened

Kansas Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision at K-47 in Neosho County, KS on August 9th, 2021. Officials say the incident happened around 12:45 p.m. A Honda minivan is said to have made a left turn into the path of an oncoming semi-truck before being struck on the passenger side. A passenger in the van, 71-year-old Charles Greer, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 71-year-old driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the truck was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
