Authorities are investigating a collision that killed two people at US 400 in Wilson County, KS on September 11th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:35 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed southbound on Jewell Rd is alleged to have failed to yield before turning left onto eastbound US 400. As a result, reports say the truck collided with a westbound Mercury Grand Marquis. The crash left both the driver of the Mercury, identified as 76-year-old Donald J. Christeson and 61-year-old passenger, Teresa J. Mansfield, fatally injured. The semi-truck operator was allegedly uninjured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
