What Happened

Authorities identified the person killed in a crash at US 24 in Cloud County, KS on June 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around and named 63-year-old James Ray Dille as the victim. Reports indicate a Ford Econoline van traveling westbound on US 24 allegedly entered into an eastbound lane for unconfirmed reasons prior to colliding with an eastbound motorcycle. The impact is said to have caused before vehicles to leave the roadway into a ditch where the van struck a power pole. Dille, the operator of the motorcycle, was fatally injured at the scene, reports say. The van operator, identified as 47-year-old Marco Lopez, was allegedly uninjured.
