Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least one person at I-70 in Thomas County, KS on July 25th, 2024. Police say the incident occurred around 6 a.m. Reports are saying a semi-truck was involved a crash that left the vehicle disabled across the westbound lanes of travel. At some point after the initial crash, an approaching GMC Sierra is said to have collided with the disabled truck, under unclear circumstances. A passenger in the GMC, identified as 41-year-old Reyes Tavarez-Vidales, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries, reports say. The truck operator and driver of the GMC were allegedly uninjured. Authorities did not have additional information available.
