What Happened

Kansas Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Hwy 20 in Brown County, KS on July 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened between a Ford F-150 and Freightliner dump truck. According to investigators, the dump truck, operated by 54-year-old John Schuetz, was headed south before attempting to turn onto Raccoon Rd. As it did so, they say the truck struck the side of the F-150, operated by 78-year-old Robert Becker, which had been headed eastbound on Hwy 20. Becker was hospitalized with injuries believed to be serious in nature following the collision. Schuetz was also hospitalized with injuries said to be less serious.
