Kansas Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured two drivers at I-35 near Santa Fe Lake Rd in Butler County, KS on August 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:20 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is said to have lost control for unclear reasons before overturning. The vehicle then overturned, locking lanes of travel. It was next struck by an approaching tractor-trailer, the impact causing the second truck to veer from the road into a nearby fence. The driver of the first truck had suspected minor injuries and allegedly refused treatment at the scene. The second driver was hospitalized for treatment of undisclosed injures.
