What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Southeastern Freight Lines Facility in Independence, KY on February 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. According to investigators, Ricky Markley was attaching a dolly to a tractor-trailer when the truck began to move. Markley was caught between the two trailers attached to the truck and suffered fatal injuries. Police say the were told that it was possible that the brake was not activated on the truck prior to attaching the dolly. Additional information was not immediately available.
