What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed three people at I-24 in Grand Rivers, KY on July 29th, 2024. Police say the incident happened when a semi-truck headed westbound on I-24 allegedly failed to slow in construction zone traffic. There, reports say the vehicle collided with as many has five other vehicles, one catching fire in the crash. The occupants of that vehicle, including two children and 68-year-old driver, Saundra Dodd, were fatally injured. Two additional people involved were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Authorities say additional individuals were injured as well. Authorities did not have additional information available.
