What Happened

State Police are investing a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Hwy 308 in Lafourche Parish, LA on September 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle headed northbound on LA Hwy 308 was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to colliding with a Ford F-350 turning left onto 19th Street. The cyclist, identified as 36-year-old Chad Lee, was seriously injured in the collision and taken to an area hospital for treatment. Officers confirmed Lee died from his injuries later in the day. The Ford operator was uninjured and believed to not have been under the influence. Additional information was not immediately available.
