Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a child at Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, LA on October 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a dump truck operated by 61-year-old Gregory Valentine swerved to avoid a school bus that was stoped with lights flashing and an extended stop arm. The truck struck 9-year-old Isabella Castanza in the process. She was hospitalized for treatment. Valentine was arrested for Negligent Injuring, Reckless Driving and Driving with Suspended License.
