State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 90 and Bayou Gauche Rd in Paridis, LA on April 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 52-year-old Jason Gilbert was reportedly headed eastbound on US 90 carrying what was believed to be a heavy cargo load. As the vehicle slowed for a red light ahead, the cargo reportedly shifted in the truck and moved forward into the cab. Gilbert suffered fatal injuries as a result.
