What Happened

Area authorities confirmed the death of a man in a crash at LA 26 near Jennings, LA on September 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around noon and involved three vehicles. They say a bucket truck operated by 40-year-old Alfredo Guilamo was headed southbound prior to failing to come to a stop for traffic ahead and veering into a northbound lane. It struck rear of a stopped Hyundai Accent before striking the left side of a Chrysler Town & Country operated by 75-year-old Larry Andrew Doucett. The impact pushed the vehicles into a ditch where the bucket truck overturned onto the Chrysler, causing fatal injuries to Doucett. A front seat passenger in the Chrysler was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
