What Happened

State Police are investigating a collision that killed a bicyclist at Hwy 19 in East Feliciana Parish, LA on May 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. According to investigators, 46-year-old Michael John Moredock was riding a bicycle on northbound Hwy 19 in a darkly lit area on the right side of the lane when he was struck from the rear by what is believe to be a GMC Sierra pulling a trailer. Moredock was ejected from the bike and suffered fatal injuries. The suspect vehicle is said to have fled the scene after the collision and police are currently searching for the driver involved.
