What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-10 in Port Allen, LA on March 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened just before 11 a.m. According in initial investigation, a commercial truck operated by Ricky Hagar collided with the rear of a commercial bus as traffic ahead began to slow down. The impact caused the bus to crash into a median, causing minor injuries to three of the 40 passengers aboard. Hagar suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
