State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Route 9 in Crawford, ME on July 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:20 a.m. A logging truck operated by 59-year-old Kenneth C Stairs collided with a passenger vehicle operated by 63-year-old Bruce Pierce under unclear circumstances. Police say the vehicles were headed in opposite directions prior to the collision. The cab of the logging truck caught fire, causing serious burns to Stairs. Pierce suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
