State Police are investigating a crash that killed a child at I-68 and MV Smith Rd in Allegany County, MD on September 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:50 a.m. According to investigators, an SUV lost control while taking a turn in the road and went into a skid. It veered across a pair of guardrails before spinning and being struck by an 18-wheeler. A child in the SUV, identified as 8-year-old Angelin Reyes Sanchez, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. A driver and five other passengers were hospitalized with various injuries.
