State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Broadwater Rd in Deale, MD on August 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:15 a.m. According to police a garbage truck was on eastbound Broadwater Road when it collided with a wide-body pickup truck. Police say the area of the crash was narrow and had no shoulders and that the garbage truck overturned as both vehicles attempted to avoid a collision. Two workers were at the back of the truck, one who managed to jump to safety. A second, identified as 54-year-old Francisco Javier Medero, was not able to do so and suffered fatal injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
