What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-495 in Hopkinton, MA on August 17th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford van was reportedly traveling the wrong direction before colliding with a passenger car. An approaching tractor-trailer traveling directly behind the vehicles was unable to break in time and collided with the rear of the struck car. The man operating the car was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The driver of the van, identified as 29-year-old Devin Arroyo, was hospitalized with minor injuries and arrested on a charge of operating under the influence.
