What Happened

State Police identified the person killed in a hit-and-run collision at I-290 in Worcester, MA on August 13th, 2022. They say the incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Initial investigation suggests that 27-year-old Jamal Mustapha was struck by an unknown vehicle that may have possibly been a tractor-trailer under unclear circumstances. Following the initial collision, police say several other vehicles also struck Mustapha and indicated doubt the drivers were aware. Mustapha suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Police are currently searching for those involved.
