What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 31 near Bay Harbor, MI on August 13th, 2021. Police say the incident involved a minivan operated by 35-year-old Celia Keehn headed eastbound. It then pulled to the side of the road and began to make a u-turn before it was struck by a commercial truck for Petoskey Plastics. Keehn suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The truck driver, 75-year-old William Lownsberry was not injured in the crash. Police say the speed and alcohol were not factors in the 8 a.m. crash.
