What Happened

State Police are investigating a collision that injured students at I-94 in Jackson County, MI on July 10th, 2024. Police say the incident happened when a school bus containing 11 special needs students hydroplaned and lost control. The bus next collided with a semi-truck, the impact pushing the truck into a retaining wall and causing the bus to overturn. Reports say three of the students aboard the bus and its driver were hospitalized for treatment of injuries considered non-life-threatening in nature. Additional information was not available.
