What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Dort Hwy and Stanley Rd in Genesee Twp, MI on February 20th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:40 a.m. According to investigators, a garbage truck collided with a passenger vehicle under unclear circumstances. It also truck a utility pole, leaving the 56-year-old dump truck operator with fatal injuries at the scene. The 45-year-old woman in the other vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police have not yet shared additional information.
