What Happened

Ottawa County Sheriff's Office authorities have information on a crash at Chicago Dr and 18th Ave in Georgetown Twp, MI on June 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Chrysler Town & Country operated by an unidentified 83-year-old male was traveling northbound on 18th Ave. As the vehicle was crossing the intersection with Chicago Dr, a Dodge Ram box truck operated by a 23-year-old male is said to have disregarded a red light and struck car. An 80-year-old female passenger in the car was extricated from the vehicle and hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver was also injured, however, it was not specified how serious the injuries were. The other driver was not injured. Additional details were not offered.
