What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at 34th Ave West in Alexandria, MN on January 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:45 p.m. A semi-truck had reportedly become jackknifed and was occupying both lanes of 34th Ave before another vehicle collided with the truck. The driver of that vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Police later identified the driver at 83-year-old Arlys Hendrickson. The truck driver, identified as 39-year-old Oleksandr Shevchenko, was not injured. Police had no additional information to share.
