What Happened

Duluth Police have information on a crash that killed a pedestrian at Miller Hill Mall in Duluth, MN on September 10th, 2021. Police say a DTA bus operated by 36-year-old Crystal Veronica Ball collided with a pedestrian outside the Dick's Sporting Goods area of the mall parking lot. Reports indicate that Ball is accused of not following proper blind-spot training, driving the bus from a curb without looking ahead. The bus collided with 64-year-old David Weston in the process and Weston suffered fatal injuries as a result. Ball is being charged with Criminal Vehicular Homicide, according to a criminal complaint. Additional information was not provided.
