What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed three people at  Hwy 40 in Willmar, MN on August 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:54 p.m. According to investigators, an SUV operated by 41-year-old Justin Ecker and semi-truck operated by 57-year-old Ralph Enderle collided under unclear circumstances. The collision caused the truck to topple onto the SUV, causing Ecker fatal injuries. His passengers, identified as 64-year-old Carol Ecker and 39-year-old Jonathan Ecker, were also killed. An additional passenger, 35-year-old Jennifer McGinness was hospitalized with serious injuries while Enderle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
