What Happened

Minnesota Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision involving a pair of semi-trucks at Hwy 23 in Pipestone County, MN on November 4th, 2021. Officials say a semi-truck operated by 25-year-old Jacob Gelderman was making a turn onto the highway when it entered into the path of a second semi-truck operated by an unidentified 69-year-old Humboldt, SD man. The trucks collided and the Humboldt man suffered fatal injuries. Investigators were not prepared to say which vehicle was at fault and had no additional information to share.
