Minnesota State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-90 near Albert Lea, MN on June 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:18 a.m. According to investigators, a Sterling truck operated by 51-year-old Michelle Lea Bermel was headed northbound when it suffered a tire blow out. The truck left the roadway into an embankment, landing partially in a nearby creek. Police say Bermel suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
