State Police confirmed the death of a driver in a crash at Hwy 18 in South Rankin County, MS on October 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:35 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is said to have collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer that was stopped behind other vehicles in traffic. One person involved, identified as 33-year-old Christopher Raynes, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The other truck driver was not injured. Another driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
