What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman at MO-43 in Newton County, MO on July 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a passenger vehicle operated by 35-year-old Stephanie Langland reportedly pulled into the path of a utility truck headed north. The vehicles collided and a passenger in the car, 32-year-old Crystal Ward, was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. Langland was also hospitalized with serious injuries and a 14-year-old passenger was hospitalized with minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
