What Happened

State Police have identified the pedestrian killed in a collision on US 65 and Battlefield Rd in Springfield, MO on April 27th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Their investigation revealed a southbound dump truck collided with a pedestrian said to have been walking on the southbound shoulder. The pedestrian was reportedly struck after stepping into a lane of travel. The dump truck collided with a pickup truck while attempting to avoid the collision and both vehicle struck the pedestrian. Identified as 33-year-old Harrison Charlesworth, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Additional information was not immediately available.
