What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed one person involved at Hwy 90 in Washburn, MO on November 27th, 2023. Officials say the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. According to police, a Ford Transit van is said to have been in the process of making a left turn as a Jeep Cherokee allegedly attempted to travel around the vehicle. As it did so, reports say the two vehicles collided, the impact forcing the Jeep from the roadway where it overturned. The crash left 36-year-old Jeep passenger, identified Kimberly Rogers, fatally injured. The driver of the Jeep, identified as 39-year-old Phillip Fonsworth McCorbey, had non-life-threatening injuries, police say. The condition of the other driver was not revealed.
