Columbia Police Department officials have identified the person killed in a crash at I-70 in Columbia, MO on January 27th, 2022. Officials say the incident involved a Chevrolet Equinox operated by 51-year-old Brandon Darris being struck by a Ford F-750 operated by 52-year-old Michael L Landis around 10 p.m.. Investigators say the Equinox was suffering from mechanical issues when it was rear ended and that both Landis and a passenger. 67-year-old Lacy Jordan were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. Jordan died at the scene while Darris was treated for minor injuries. Landis was not injured. Additional information was not available.
