What Happened

State Police are invetiaitng a crash that killed a driver at Hereford Rd near Kansas City, MO on February 7th, 2023. Police are saying it happened before 9:30 a.m. According to investigators, A FedEx truck is said to have missed a stop sign while attempting to travel across train tracks. As it did so, it crossed into the path of an eastbound Amtrak train, the two vehicles colliding in the process. The driver of the FedEx truck, identified as 34-year-old Patrick Metz, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Police say no other injuries were reported and did not have additional information to share.
