What Happened

State Police report that a man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash at US Hwy 36 in Chillicothe, MO on December 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a semi-truck operated by 36-year-old Isse Mohamed Hassan was headed eastbound on Hwy 36. Investigators state that the truck turned left from a driving lane rather than a turn lane and was blocking both travel lanes when it was struck by another semi-truck. That truck, operated by 27-year-old Ronald Tillman, had been in the passing lane attempting to go around Hassan's truck before they collided and it veered from the road.
