Missouri State Highway Patrol officials have information on a crash that injured a person at I-44 and Lewis Rd in St Louis County, MO on July 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:08 p.m. According to investigators, a Mercury Cougar operated by 19-year-old Savannah M Stewart was headed eastbound when it collided with a tractor-trailer operated by 56-year-old Paul Chavez. Investigators allege the truck failed to yield to the Mercury during a lane change before the collision, which forced the Mercury from the road before it overturned. Stewart suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Chavez was unharmed. Additional details were not available.
